Unital ring

Def. The units in a Unital ring RR are elements with a multiplicative inverse. That is an element aRa \in R is called an unit, if b\exists b \in , s.t. ab=ba=1ab=ba =1. bb will be unique, denote it a1a^{-1}.

The set of units in RR is denoted RR^*.

Proposition. Let R be a ring with 1, then RR^* is a Group, called the Multiplicative group
